The Root of the Matter: ARC Raiders quest guide
The Root of the Matter is a quest from Celeste with 3 objectives.
We're in luck. The notes you found last time were written by the lead researcher. When the project went under, it seems she took some of the seed samples and sealed them away in a secure location.
Objectives
- Go to the Research Building
- Search for the seed vault in the "room with a great view"
- Deliver the Experimental Seed Sample to Celeste
Objectives update the moment you complete them in raid, so you can stack this quest with others from Celeste that send you to the same map. Extract alive to keep any items you picked up for it.
Rewards
No item rewards are listed for this quest.
Quest chain
Unlocked after Untended Garden. Completing it unlocks Water Troubles.
Tips for The Root of the Matter
The Root of the Matter is one of 25 quests Celeste gives. Read every objective before you load in so you bring the right tools, and carry a spare slot for anything you need to pick up. If an objective asks you to search or reach a place, go there early in the raid before other Raiders and ARC converge on the area.
